General
API Documentation - We’re happy to announce that we have now moved our API Documentation to the Postman platform. Whilst you will no longer be able to make requests directly from the page, you are now able to import all the documentation, requests, and params/filters into your Postman application to quickly start exploring the API. This will allow us to more easily make changes to the copy should we received feedback that more clarifications are needed.
We already made some changes to the content:
- Intro section into how to use Postman
- ‘Permissions’ section to explain what content can be available on a key for a specific request
- Renamed sections for better clarity
- Updated sample requests, including multiple version to highlight different types of permissions
- Updated list of fields for the Ship API, indicating in which request (GET or GET all) each field is available
Cruise Integrations
New
Tauck - the integration was re-launched on Thursday 7 March, bringing back their cruises and itineraries that were unfortunately removed a few years ago. You can ready the documentation here. As the integration was previously active, it is possible that the content is already turned on on your Widgety product. If that isn’t the case, please contact the following should you wish to get access to the content:
- Cruise Search / Brochure Rack / Ship iFrames: please contact your Sales contact.
- API: please contact support
Updates
Silversea - an upgrade of the integration was launched this week. Whilst we highly suggest to re-read the full documentation, here are the highlights:
- The integration is now automated and will be updated daily at 5:20 GMT
- The new Silversea pricing structure which launched on 18 March has been implemented
- Port Descriptions have been added in
Scenic / Scenic Ocean / Emerald - Following the need for several changes to be made, we opted to re-build the integration from scratch. The full details are available in the documentation [Emerald | Scenic].
- All double prices were moved to the dedicated packaged_price field, following a notice from their sales team that all prices in their feed are back to being flight inclusive instead of cruise only.
- The integration has now been updated to let pre and post land sections pass through. This means that the itinerary will now contain land locations whenever applicable. This is in line with the logic change we applied to Expedition integrations. Head over to our dedicated guide for more information.
- The integration is now updated daily
- The fare_sets logic has now been amended, with prices now merged under a single fare_sets of the same name. Previously, each price was under its own fare_sets with a title such as “Offer: Save £1,514 per couple Early payment discount per couple” but it now will be simply called ‘Early Payment Discount’
